Don’t be caught off guard in the interview – Prepare, Prepare, Prepare!!
Plan Ahead – Do your homework. Research the company and the position if possible. Review your work experiences. Know the exact place and time of the interview and plan to arrive a few minutes early. Late arrival for a job interview is never excusable.
Make a Great First Impression – Always wear proper attire and greet your interviewer with a firm handshake and enthusiastic smile.
Eye Contact – Maintain eye contact with your interviewer. Show you want the job with your interest.
Be Positive – Always avoid negative comments about past employers.
Be Descriptive – Don’t answer with a simple “yes” or “no”. Provide explanations whenever possible. Describe things about yourself which relate to the situation.
When preparing to interview with our clients, we recommend you be prepared to answer the following questions. This will help you provide the information the interviewer wishes to know in a very focused and polished manner, as well as allow you to come away with a good understanding of the position and the company.
Not only should you be prepared to answer questions, you should also prepare to ask well-informed and insightful questions.
